Thirsty Thursday - Don Fulano Tequila

5 pm - 7 pm

Don Fulano’s journey began long before its first bottle was distilled in December 2002. Founded by Enrique Fonseca and Sergio Mendoza, Don Fulano Tequila traces its roots back 140 years to the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, where their great-grandfathers began cultivating agave.

Today, Don Fulano is one of the last family-owned tequila brands that is fully self-sufficient in its agave supply. This autonomy allows the brand to maintain consistent quality and authenticity, even in challenging times.

But even with a commitment to preserving tradition and heritage, the company still maintains some individuality. The name Don Fulano, roughly translating from Spanish to English as “a gentleman of unknown or undisclosed identity,” reflects a playful departure from the industry norm of naming tequilas after their makers.

Don Fulano Blanco, 80 proof

Regular price: $60

Sale price: $54

Don Fulano Blanco is a bright and colorful expression of highland agave. It’s fresh on the nose and yet profound with a beautiful elegance. There is harmony between a wide spectrum of aromas that only mature hillside agave offers; a myriad of delicate fruit notes is balanced by a light herbaceousness and a butterscotch oiliness. Reminiscent of damp red soil it opens the senses and awakens the appetite, it almost makes you want to chew it. A great aperitif or quintessence of a great cocktail.

Don Fulano Reposado, 80 proof

Regular price: $75

Sale price: $67

Don Fulano Reposado is the great representative of the spirit of Don Fulano: a marriage of mature highland agave with French limousine oak. It’s rich and buttery, yet strangely delicate and ethereal at the same time. Cooked agave fully expresses itself and blends seamlessly with an herbal sweetness, hints of mature fruit compote and dark chocolate. There’s also a slight spice element which emerges from its delicate finish.

Don Fulano Anejo, 80 proof

Regular price: $95

Sale price: $85

Don Fulano Añejo is a marriage of very old tequilas aged in French limousine and nevers oak casks that previously held wines. It’s deep and complex with dried fruits and spice elements like cardamom and allspice which elegantly complement the right touch of sweetness that comes from slowly cooked mature agave. Honey and caramelized nuts emerge from a long finish together with a refreshing light menthol. Great to wrap up a nice dinner.
