Roknar Maryland Style Straight Rye, 94 proof

Regular price: $69 per bottle

Sale price: $59 per bottle

Made from 65% Hazlet rye, 25% heirloom corn, and 10% malt barley, Roknar Maryland-style is aged for five years in Minnesota-made barrels from Black Swan. The recipe for Roknar Maryland-style is based upon George Washington’s original mash bill from his distillery at Mount Vernon. Maryland-style rye was known as the “American Gentleman’s Whiskey” for its softer, sweeter flavor profile from the additional corn.

Far North Hazlet Single Varietal Bottled in Bond Rye, 100 proof

Regular price: $69 per bottle

Sale price: $59 per bottle

The Hazlet Bonded is one of the first 95% rye whiskeys Far North has ever distilled. With age, it has become an exemplary expression of what this flavorful grain has to offer. Leading with sweet caramel and creme brulee with notes of cognac and vanilla.

These unique, open-pollinated rye varietals are selected and farmed specifically for their flavor when distilled, a radical approach that is virtually unheard of in the industry. When grown in this unique terrior and distilled in small batches, that potential is realized in a spectrum of rich flavors not found in mass-produced whiskies

Pikesville Straight Rye Whiskey, 110 proof

Regular price: $56 per bottle

Sale price: $50 per bottle

While the proof is high, it serves to amplify the fantastic flavor profile rather than impose a lot of burn, making it very enjoyable as is. Additionally, while Pikesville contains a more fruit-forward flavor profile due to the fact that this is a barely-legal rye (51% rye), the high yet manageable proof helps add to the illusion that  this is a spicier rye than it really is. This should allow both bourbon lovers and hardcore rye lovers alike to appreciate it

A. Overholt ‘Monongahela Mash’ Straight Rye, 95 proof

Regular price: $40 per bottle

Sale price: $35 per bottle

A. Overholt Straight Rye marks the return to Abraham Overholt’s original mashbill of 80% rye, 20% malted barley, which is often referred to as “Monongahela Mash.” Bereft of corn, baking spice–not dill or spearmint–leads to dark notes like caraway seed, marbled rye bread, saddle leather, barn wood and just a little horehound candy. Barley does little to round the edges of this spirit This drinks a bit dusty, a character that comes through and becomes amplified by repeated sips. If there ever were a "lite" bitter digestif, this would be it. It flirts with that digestif complexity in a refreshing way that makes me want to continue sipping all its 95 proof without rocks or unnecessary water. Let this one stand on its own to enjoy its full spicy, corn-free glory.
