Rye Cocktails - Thirsty Thursday, November 30, 2023

Once the dusty bottle forgotten at the back of the cabinet, rye whiskey is enjoying a resurgence nowadays. Made from rye grain in a similar style to bourbon, rye brings a spiciness that's one part pepper, one part baking spices, and 100% perfect for cool weather cocktails.

Rye D'Sicilia

3 oz Michter's US1 Rye

1 oz Amara D'Arancia Rosso

2 dashes Tobacco bitters

mix together, stir and serve over ice

Dark Waters

2 oz Old Overholt Rye

1 oz Hoodoo Chicory Liqueur

1/2 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur

1 dash fire tincture bitters

mix together, shake and serve in an 'up' glass
