New Stuff - Whiskey-a-go-go!

Ragged Branch Wheated Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon, 100 proof

Bottled In Bond is made from a mash bill of 68% corn with 16% wheat and 16% malted barley, aged in #3 and #4 char barrels for a minimum of 5+ years and bottled at 100 proof. Bottled In Bond introduces equal parts caramel and baking spice and has just a touch of butterscotch. It reminds us of a sugar cookie that was left in the oven about 2 minutes too long.

Old Line 51 Rye Whiskey, 102 proof

Old Line proudly presents our inaugural entry into the world of Rye whiskey, a much-anticipated addition that pays homage to Maryland’s time-honored state spirit. In an effort to contribute in our own way to this rich rye whiskey heritage, we’ve collaborated with Monument City Brewing Co., using the same grains from their celebrated 51 Rye IPA in our distinctive mash bill, just without the hops. The outcome is our High Malt Rye Whiskey, a wonderful balance of creativity and tradition.

Wilderness Trail Bottled-in-Bond Hi-Rye Sweet Mash Bourbon, 100 proof

Caramel, a common flavor in most bourbons, is present here, yet noticeably more potent. The bourbon also has a distinct mouthfeel which helps amplify its notes of butterscotch, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Most notable is how pronounced its rye component is during the bourbon’s finish.

Jura Seven Wood Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 84 proof

This release is first aged in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels, after which it is “enhanced” by some time in six French Oak casks (Limousin, Tronçais, Allier, Vosges, Jupilles & Les Bertranges) making up Seven Woods and giving use the name of this 42% ABV single malt

In 1958, the first Whisky a Go Go in the United States opened in Chicago, Illinois, on the corner of Rush and Chestnut streets. It has been called the first real American discothèque. A franchise was opened in 1966 on M Street in the Georgetown section of Washington, D.C., by restaurateur Jacques Vivien.

It owes its name to the first discothèque, the Whisky à Gogo, (à gogo, meaning, in French, "in abundance", "galore"), established in Paris in 1947 by Paul Pacini (d. 2017), which itself took the name from the movie Whisky Galore! based on the British novel Whisky Galore which was released in France as Whisky a Gogo
