Malbec made its way from France to Argentina in the middle of the 19th century but it's now nearly 200-year existence there has shaped the wines into a very distinctly non-French style. Rich, round and lush, Argentina Malbecs are often criticized as tasting like ‘good red wine from anywhere’, meaning that they don’t possess a signature style. This blend of Malbec, Syrah and Bonarda is produced by a small family winery seeking to honor their German heritage. Predictably rich, round and lush, it’s not simply one-dimensional however as the blend offers up floral notes to vie with the blackberry flavors.
