Weekday wines - Leviathan Red Blend

Andy Erickson is the force behind Leviathan. Launched in 2004, Erickson’s goal is to produce one wine, free from appellation restraints, sourced from the finest sites available. Every wine, every year, might be slightly or dramatically different, but the goal is the same: produce one great, yet affordable wine. The 2020 features a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Syrah, Syrah, Petite Verdot, and Cabernet Franc sourced from a number of regions in Northern California, including Red Hills, Coombsville, and Moon Mountain. The resulting wine is lush and full and rich, packed with fruit and spice, bound together by well-integrated tannins. Bold yet still refreshing, it’s a wine to enjoy tonight and many nights to come.
